Air Rocket

Newton's third law states that “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.” Come explore forces and motion by making and testing a straw rocket complete with a water bottle launcher! Experiments are geared for grades 3-8. Kids in K-2 are welcome if accompanied by an adult to assist. Groups of 5 or more are asked to email at least 1 day in advance at jmstolz@dmpl.org.

Geek Out! Series of Unfortunate Events

Bring your friends and make new ones as we gather to discuss and geek out over our favorite pop-culture interests. Each month we’ll highlight a different fandom with crafts, trivia, activities, and, of course, snacks! Novice to expert fans are welcome, and we’re sure to have something for everyone. This program is open to teens in grades 6-12.

STEM: Elephant Toothpaste

Join us for another exciting, hands-on chemistry experiment! We will create a dramatic exothermic reaction (meaning heat is given off) that looks like toothpaste rushing out of a big tube!

Experiments are geared for grades 3-8. Kids in K-2 are welcome if accompanied by an adult to assist. Older teens willing to assist younger kids are most welcome! Groups of 5 or more are asked to email at least 1 day in advance at jmstolz@dmpl.org.

STEM: Slime!

Experiment with solids and liquids while making your own slime to take home! Emphasizing the science behind the fun, experiments are geared for grades 3-8. Kids in K-2 are welcome if accompanied by an adult to assist. Older teens willing to assist younger kids are most welcome! Groups of 5 or more are asked to email at least 1 day in advance at jmstolz@dmpl.org.
