Teen / Tween Coding with Dash-Dot Robots

Dash & Dot are robots that teach coding. Use Blockly, a Scratch-inspired app, to practice programming by dragging and dropping commands into place. Our challenge: Learn to code in order to make Dash do the chicken dance! No prior coding experience necessary. For those entering 4th-12th grades. Learn to Draw Manga with the Des Moines Art Center!

Are you a Manga fanatic? Want to try your hand at drawing in the manga style?? Learn about Drawing Manga with a guest instructor from the Des Moines Art Center! Practice your technique and make your own creations to take home. For those entering 4th-12 grades.

Participants are required to attend both days (07/24/2017 and 07/26/2017), as instruction is given on both days and projects are cumulative.

Teen Art Expressions with the Des Moines Art Center: Color Mixing

Teens who completed a still-life drawing on July 24th at South are welcome to learn color mixing from the DM Art Center for free! In this final session, participants will take their still-life drawings and apply paints to their work. All materials will be provided. For Teens entering Grades 6-12. Preregistration is required for this session and for the July 24th session. Space is limited.
