Join us each month for a science experiment! Today’s project is making fake “snow” to take home.
Emphasizing the science behind the fun, experiments are geared for grades 3-8. Kids in K-2 are welcome if accompanied by an adult to assist. Older teens willing to assist younger kids are most welcome! Groups of 5 or more are asked to email at least 1 day in advance at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hey teens! Have you read a good book that you just HAVE to tell others about? Do you love getting book recommendations from your friends? Check out BYO Book! Instead of picking just one book to discuss each month, everyone will talk about a different book that they really enjoyed. This program is open to teens in grades 6-12.
The beloved Nicholas Sparks novel was brought to the big screen by director Nick Cassavetes in 2004. James Garner, Gena Rowlands, Ryan Gosling, and Rachel McAdams star in the tale of a couple's enduring romance over several decades.
Greg Gourd, retired DMPD Crime Scene Investigator, will discuss the real world of forensics. Find out about procedures used through documentation and collection of evidence during a criminal investigation. See a demonstration on procedures for fingerprinting.
