AViD Presents Eloisa James

March 21st,
7:00pm to 8:00pm

The Des Moines Public Library is excited to announce this year’s full lineup for our Authors Visiting in Des Moines (AViD) lecture series! Now in its 17th year, AViD is a highly acclaimed, free lecture series that connects world-famous authors with an audience from across the state.

On Tuesday, March 21, renowned romance author Eloisa James will join us in Des Moines. Eloisa James is the New York Times bestselling author of 27 romance novels. James has been nominated for a RITA – the highest award in romance fiction – several times, winning her first award in 2003, solidifying her status as one of today’s best romance writers.

From the very beginning her books received wide acclaim. A reviewer from USA Today wrote of Eloisa's very first book that she "found herself devouring the book like a dieter with a Hershey bar.” James graduated from Harvard and received post-graduate degrees from Oxford University and Yale University. In addition to her career as an author, James is a Shakespeare professor.
