Play, Grow, Learn! is an opportunity for you to use the Imagination Station to explore early literacy tips and books, play with others, and develop early literacy skills using Forest Avenue Library's space and toys. This is an unsupervised, drop-in playtime where parents and caregivers are encouraged to interact with their children. Many items will be available for free exploration and play.
Join us for stories, songs, fingerplays, activities and occasional crafts that build literacy and kindergarten-readiness skills. For preschoolers ages 3-5.
On Thursdays, toddlers and their caregivers can enjoy stories, rhymes, fingerplays, and songs together, followed by a period of free play or drawing.
Join us for stories, songs, fingerplays and movement that build literacy skills for ages three to six years old.
Get the lowdown on your library's downloadables. Bring your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, or e-reader) to one of our classes and get some advice and help installing the library's apps for e-books, downloadable audiobooks, and e-magazines. Classes and apps are all free. Your gadget must have basic setup done (out of the box, set up, passwords entered, charged, and know the basics) as a prerequisite to this class. You will need your library card and PIN, and you may need the password for your App Store on your device.
