The Belin Quartet Plays in Celebration of the150th Anniversary

The Franklin Avenue Library welcomes The Belin Quartet. The quartet is well known in the greater Des Moines community for their free noon-time concerts during the summer. Members of the quartet include violinists Julie Fox Henson, John Helmich, Tracy Engman Finkelshteyn, Violist Sherida Josephson, and cellist George Work. The Belin Quartet was established in 2000 by a generous grant to the Civic Music Association from David Belin's charitable foundation, the Iowa Foundation for Education, Environment, and the Arts.

Robert De Niro stars as a seventy-year-old widower who discovers that retirement isn't all he expected it to be. A former business executive, he decides to go back to work, but as a senior intern at an online fashion site. The company is run by a bright young woman, played by Anne Hathaway, who is in a bit over her head and could use some business, and life, advice.
