The Villisca Ax Murders

The brutal ax slayings of eight people that occurred in Villisca, IA on June 10, 1912 will be discussed by Dr. Ed Epperly, widely recognized as the foremost expert on the subject. The murders are all the more notorious because the case remains unsolved. Dr. Epperly, a retired Luther College professor, has been researching the murders since 1955, when he first visited Villisca as a UNI student doing a report on Iowa history.
