Drake University Associate Professor of History Curt M. Cardwell will discuss the historic Selma to Montgomery March, which took place fifty years ago in March. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. led the march through Alabama to bring attention to the many discriminatory practices used to disenfranchise black citizens.
