Teen/Tween Maker Lab: Galactic Comic Book Fun!

Teens! Join us at South for our Teen/Tween Maker Lab where you can create projects afterschool with our hands on STEM and STEAM stations!
This month, celebrate the world of comic books by making a mini LED "Star Wars" lightsaber or make a galactic collage from comic books! For Grades 6-12. Groups of six or more should call Janee at 283-4152 to make arrangements.

Youth Maker Lab: Superhero LED Light Up Masks

Does your child love to make things? Sign up for South's Youth Maker Lab and have your child engage in hands on STEM and STEAM activities. This week, kids can be a superhero and learn how to light an LED light on their very own superhero mask! For youth in Grades 3 through 5. Preregistration required. Groups may not register for this program.

Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention

Join us for a Tai Chi class with instructor Jan Bennett. This class will specialize in arthritis and falls prevention, and can be done standing or seated. The program is beginner friendly and requires no experience with Tai Chi.

Tai Chi is a holistic form of exercise that promotes flowing movements and mind/body harmony. Tai Chi is sometimes called a "moving meditation." As participants concentrate on doing the movements they often forget about their normal, everyday concerns. Tai Chi is a slower paced, non-contact martial arts movements.
