Week 2 of the Winter Reading Program is now in the books! We had some more great reviews this week, and we want you to keep them coming. There are still four weeks to go, which gives you plenty of time to read and review! Here is this week's winning review:
The Paris Wife by Paula McLain
This is a riveting piece of historical fiction which engulfs the reader into the relationship of Ernest Hemingway and his first wife, Hadley. Reading about their time in Paris, you can picture the difference in culture between Europe and America during that time period. It’s interesting to see the roles of women in America compared to the roles of women abroad during that time. Paula McLain writes with such detail that you can literally picture all of the great authors of that time and even learn things you might not have known about them. Along the way, you also get a glimpse of just how troubled and tortured Hemingway really was. Your heart breaks along with Hadley’s as she deals with all the ups and downs of being with Hemingway.
