Rental and Setup Fees

The Central Library has three meeting rooms which can be combined into a large space which can hold, at most, 570 people. Organizations can rent one, two, or all three rooms. The library also has two public conference rooms, one on the first floor and one on the second floor, that can be rented for meetings during library hours. Both conference rooms can accommodate up to ten people. See below for detailed information regarding rental fees.

Any organization seeking nonprofit rates must qualify as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)3 or other tax-exempt sections of the Internal Revenue Code and must submit a copy of a current letter of exemption to the library administration office.

Study rooms of various sizes may also be reserved for a daily maximum of two hours. Study rooms are only available during library hours to library patrons, and a library card is required to make a reservation. Study rooms are free to use for individuals and group study.

FEE LEVEL I

Nonprofit rate for 501(c)3 meetings (fees are PER HOUR)

  • Library open: $20.00 for one room, $30 for two rooms, $40 for three rooms
  • Library closed: See FEE LEVEL II (below).
  • Public conference rooms: $10 per hour
  • Additional maintenance fees will apply for events with food: Light refreshments, $30 per room; Catered events, $50 per room.

FEE LEVEL II

For-profit organization, private party rate, or library closed rate

One of three rooms

  • During library hours: $80 per hour
  • Monday thru Thursday nights: $400*
  • Friday and Saturday nights: $600*
  • Saturday and Sunday (non-library hours) $1000*

Two of three rooms

  • During library hours: $100 per hour
  • Monday thru Thursday nights: $600*
  • Friday and Saturday nights: $800*
  • Saturday and Sunday (non-library hours) $1400*

All three rooms (combined space)

  • During library hours: $120 per hour
  • Monday thru Thursday nights: $800*
  • Friday and Saturday nights: $1000* 
  • Saturday and Sunday (non-library hours) $1800*

Conference rooms: $10 per hour. 

  • These rooms are not available when the library is closed. Catering is available in the first floor conference room ONLY.

Additional maintenance fees will apply for events with food held on Saturday and Sunday outside of regular library hours: Light refreshments, $50 per room; Catered events, $100 per room.

*Please note:

  • The library must have a submitted application and all details regarding meeting room setup 2 business days in advance of all meetings. ABSOLUTELY NO CHANGES will be made the day of the meeting.
  • The parking garage will never be open before or after library hours.
  • No refunds for events canceled less than five business days in advance of the event.

Setup Fees

The two public conference rooms are always arranged with chairs around a single rectangular table. There are no setup options for the conference rooms.

All groups reserving the Central Library meeting room(s) will be charged a room setup fee.

  • Room setup fees: $30, $60, and $80 for one, two, and three meeting rooms.
  • Options for room arrangements are: theater style-east, theater style-south, amphitheater, banquet, square conference, seminar/classroom, reception, and custom.
  • Stage setup fee is $100.
  • The library must have all details regarding meeting room setup three business days in advance of all events. ABSOLUTELY NO CHANGES will be made the day of the meeting.
