Ready Set Robot is an introductory enrichment experience for youth ages eight and above to freely explore and learn about robotics. At this fun, hands-on workshop, students receive a brief overview of robotics and then spend time programming age-appropriate robots in a safe and supportive environment. No prior experience is needed but familiarity with a computer keyboard and mouse is helpful for programming most of the robots. Parents, we encourage you to enjoy this learning experience with younger students. All equipment is provided and registration is required.
At this free, family-friendly Hour of Code event, we welcome all individuals, ages eight and above, to receive an introductory experience to coding and computer science in a safe, supportive environment. Kids will choose themes of Minecraft, Moana or Star Wars for their hands-on project as they watch video-based tutorials, complete coding objectives, and learn basic coding skills.
