Nepali Celebrations

Dec 4
Monday 5:30 pm
It's the only country in the world with a non-rectangular flag, and they celebrate more public holidays than any other nation. There's a lot to love about Nepal, the little landlocked country in the Himalayas. Come to this family-friendly CultureALL program to learn more about Nepali culture. Shweta Giyawali will guide you through the many festivals Nepali people celebrate, and you'll even take part in some traditional activities! Join us and learn to love the home of mountains, forests, and plains.

Winter Birds

Dec 29
Friday 3:00 pm
Not all birds fly south for the winter! Winter is a great time to pull out the binoculars and bird watch. Our friends at Polk County Conservation will help us identify the birds that stick around and endure the windy winter weather, like woodpeckers, blue jays, cardinals, and black-capped chickadees. Find out what they look like, what sounds they make, and how they survive during these cold, dark days. It’s a great excuse to get out in the cold! This is a family friendly event for all ages!
