The Des Moines Public Library Foundation, with the generous contributions of donors, annually offers a scholarship opportunity for graduating high school seniors. To be eligible, students must:
- Be a Des Moines Public Library card holder.
- Be a current senior planning to attend college in summer or fall.
- Be a student who has used the Forest Avenue Library.

The 2017 FALL4 Learning Scholarship Recipients
Two 2017 Forest Avenue Library Love for Learning (FALL4 Learning) Scholarships, in the amount of $685, were awarded to Tabitha Sanburg and Kevin Ha at the April 19, 2017, Friends of the Forest Avenue Library meeting. Both students are seniors at Hoover High School. The scholarships are awarded each year to high school seniors who have used the Forest Avenue Library to succeed in high school. The scholarships are made possible due to the generosity of three anonymous donors. Tabitha plans to attend the University of Iowa and major in criminology. Kevin plans to attend Grandview University and major in business.
