Science Saturday: Space Bookmark Craft

Kids! Visit South for Science Saturdays to build and create science-themed activities! This week, kids can make and take out of this world space-themed bookmarks using our materials from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For youth ages 5-12. This is an unsupervised, drop-in craft. Parent/guardian must be present with children. Craft available while supplies last.

Do you get anxious when your cellphone dies or you forget it at home? Do you find yourself looking at a screen while spending time with your friends or family? This program will give you an inside look at the techniques technology developers use to keep you glued to your screen. Concepts used to motivate you to look at your phone when it vibrates or makes a sound; or make it hard to stay focused on one task when there are so many other things on the Internet; why it’s easy to subscribe for a service or make an online purchase regardless if you need it, will be discussed.

Science Saturday: Constellation Pictures

Join us at South for Science Saturdays to build and create science-themed activities! This week, kids can make a constellation craft using gold stars and chalk on black paper. This craft builds constellation knowledge and supports the development of visual motor skills! For youth ages 5-12. This is a drop-in, unsupervised program. Parent or guardian must be present with children. Craft available while supplies last.
