Lawyers in Libraries is a joint effort by The Iowa State Bar Association, the State Library of Iowa, Iowa Legal Aid and the Polk County Volunteer Lawyers Project to help provide free legal information through one-hour presentations by lawyers at libraries across the state. The Des Moines Public Library’s South Side Branch is participating in the Lawyers in Libraries celebration of Law Day 2020 this May with a presentation by Amy Skogerson and Andrea McGinn, lawyers from The Law Shop by Skogerson and McGinn LLC, on Wednesday, May 27, at 6:30 p.m. This presentation will provide an overview of family law in Iowa including divorce, child custody and guardianships.
