A Georgian Looks at Sherman: What He Sees May Surprise You

November 14th, 1:30pm to 2:30pm
General William Sherman has been recognized for his outstanding command of the Union Army in the Civil War. He’s also received criticism for his harsh strategy of total warfare in Georgia near the war’s end. Come to the North Side Library as Professor Richard McMurry takes a look at Sherman’s “March to the Sea.” As a native Georgian, McMurry has a unique perspective on these events – and what he sees may surprise you. Please preregister for this event, as space is limited. Call 283-4152 ext. 3 or go to dmpl.org.
