Between Gravity and What Cheer: Iowa Photographs with Barry Phipps

Jan 23
Wednesday 6:30 pm
When Barry Phipps moved from Chicago to Iowa City in 2012, he knew nothing of Iowa. As a photographer and artist, he became intrigued by the state’s landscape and the state’s rural communities, taking road trips across the state and documenting locations as they are now. These photographs became the basis for his new book Between Gravity and What Cheer: Iowa Photographs, which was published in May.
