The Art of the Taiko Drum

All ages are invited to experience Japanese culture through the Art of Taiko. Taiko drums are traditional Japanese instruments used in festivals and musical performances around the world. Learn about the different styles of Taiko drumming, and how the drums are used in popular festivals in Japan and the US. You may even get a chance to play the drums during this interactive, educational event.

Polling Place: Local Sales Tax

The East Side Library Meeting Room is reserved as a Polk County City Election Polling Place. The Meeting Room doors will open to the public at 7:00 AM for voting. The Meeting Room doors will close to the public and voting will cease at 9:00 PM. Library services will not be available to the public from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Library services will be available to the public during normal operating hours: 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
