Are you looking for a great place to volunteer? Become a volunteen and help out with library projects and programs. Teens ages twelve to eighteen can pick up a teen volunteer application at the Franklin Library. Applications must be turned in and approved before attending this program.

Irish Harp with Erin Brooker-Miller

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with an evening of Irish harp music, performed by Erin Brooker-Miller. As a representative of the United States, Erin has competed and won numerous awards at All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoils, the highest level traditional Irish music competition held annually in Ireland. She is the Principal Harpist of the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra and Executive Director of the USA International Harp Competition

Science Wednesdays: Polk County Conservation Presents: Owls!

A special guest from Polk County Conservation will be discussing the incredible lives of owls. Then we will try to figure out what owls eat by dissecting owl pellets. Science Wednesdays is a chance for kids ages six to twelve to explore different aspects of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). Please preregister for this program.
