Button supplies are available for purchase from the information desk.

  • Bag of Eight 1½″ Buttons (Plastic-Backed)
    • $1.00

If you bring your own button supplies, please note this station includes a 2¼″ button-making machine and a 1½″ button-making machine.

You can use the templates below to print your button designs. If you print your designs at the library, printing costs $0.25 per page.

Rules and Guidelines

  • You must be a Des Moines Public Library cardholder
  • For ages 14 and up
    • Users under the age of 14 must be accompanied by parent/guardian
  • Reservations may be submitted two weeks in advance
  • Reservations start at two hours per day, with extensions subject to availability
  • Walk-in appointments are subject to availability
  • Covered drinks are welcome; food is not permitted
  • DMPL’s Customer Behavior Policy and Internet Use Policy apply
