Fall 4 Learning Scholarship - 2024 Information
High school seniors who have used the Forest Avenue Library, have a Des Moines Public Library card, and are planning to attend college in the summer or fall of 2024, may apply for the Forest Avenue Library Love for Learning (FALL4Learning) Scholarship.
Since 2014, 29 students have received this scholarship. This scholarship is made possible with generous gifts from anonymous donors at the Greater Des Moines Community Foundation and from the community. The scholarship recognizes the important role the Des Moines Public Library plays as a community center for learning and as a resource for helping people achieve their dreams.
The application process is simple. Download the application on this page or pick one up at the Forest Avenue Library, complete the form, include a one or two page written statement describing college plans and why you are deserving of the scholarship.
Applications will be accepted until Thursday, March 21, 2024. Completed applications should be sent to the Des Moines Public Library Foundation, 1000 Grand Ave., Des Moines, IA 50309. The winner of the FALL4Learning Scholarship will be announced in May 2024.
