All DMPL locations will be closed on Sunday, April 20 for the Easter holiday. Regular hours and services will resume on Monday, April 21.

North Side Construction - Detour Route

Ongoing construction on Euclid Avenue may limit the ability to access the North Side Library parking lot from the north. If you're visiting the North Side Library, you may reach the parking lot from the south by traveling on Ovid Ave. and then turning north onto 5th Ave. Please see the North Side Library page for a diagram.

Is your bike ready for summer? Join the Des Moines Bicycle Collective for a tune-up workshop as we celebrate National Bicycle Month. We will cover the ABCs (air, brakes and chains) of basic bicycle maintenance in this fun and interactive workshop. Bring your bike to the East Side Library's parking lot for a program of instruction and assistance. All ages welcome!
