A discussion of options and opportunities for the aging gardener.
This conversation will focus on aging in place with your garden and how you can maximize the benefits of your garden while reducing the physical stresses associated with gardening. We will discuss what you can do now to enjoy your perennial garden for years to come. Ways to make your garden safer and more accessible will be part of the conversation, as well as ways to make your garden choices part of a legacy of environmental stewardship that will benefit generations to come. The program will be 60 minutes and Lexi will stay after for questions and discussion.
Lexi Young is a co-owner of Young Gardens, a Des Moines landscaping company with a mission to bring ecologically diverse and climate resilient gardens to central Iowa. She is the garden and landscape designer for the company and is a passionate gardener herself.
