Program Description

Event Details

During this presentation, Rev. Dr. LoraKim Joyner, a conservationist and avian wildlife veterinarian for over 38 years, will review the scientific and cultural aspects of how people relate and respond to nature, and specifically to birds.  The mindful practice of birds can take only minutes a day but conversely also involves a lifetime of commitment, exploration, and wonder.

This talk will be followed by a bird walk in-person on Saturday, April 26th at 9 AM. Bring comfortable shows, binoculars if you have them, and be prepared to walk about 1.5 miles on a paved/dirt surface. All ages are invited.
