Program Description
Event Details
One out of every four people in the world routinely eats insects. Why might this be? Come learn about entomophagy (the practice of eating insects), at the Forest Avenue library. We will learn which bugs are most commonly eaten and do a taste test to see if you can guess which foods are made with insects and which are not. Best for ages 8+
*Students with shellfish allergies should not taste the samples and should take care handing the samples. Insects have exoskeletons – just like shellfish. If you have an allergy to shellfish, you may also be allergic to insects. Exercise caution. *
