On June 3, 2019, the Des Moines City Council passed the Energy and Water Benchmarking Ordinance requiring building owners of buildings 25,000 sq. ft or larger to benchmark and submit to the City of Des Moines their energy and water usage annually by May 1.
If you want hands-on assistance reporting your data, you can attend a free open lab session at Central Library.

Iowa B3 Benchmarking Program and ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager are two benchmarking tools users can choose from to report their data to the City. You should register for a date/time based on your tool choice.
