Celebración del Día de Muertos / Day of the Dead Celebration

Come to the Central Library to celebrate the Day of the Dead. Everyone is invited to dress up and/or paint their face as a Catrina to enter our contest for a chance to win a prize (must be present at 7 p.m. for judging). See the ofrenda and the Catrina created by Latinx Immigrants of Iowa in partnership with the Des Moines Public Library. Try traditional bread (pan de muerto) and hot chocolate while you watch the movie Coco in English with Spanish subtitles at 4 p.m. and in Spanish with English subtitles at 5:30 p.m. All ages welcome.    

Visítanos en la biblioteca del Central para celebrar el Día de Muertos. Invitamos a todas las personas a disfrazarse y/o pintarse la cara como una Catrina para participar en nuestro concurso y tener la oportunidad de ganar un premio (deben estar presentes a las 7 p.m. para participar). Aprecia la ofrenda del Día de Muertos, la cual, fue realizada por Latinx Immigrants of Iowa en asociación con the Des Moines Public Library. Ven y degusta una pieza de pan de muerto y un taza de chocolate mientras vemos la película Coco que se proyectará con subtítulos en Español de 4 a 5:30 p.m. y en Español con subtítulos en Inglés desde 5:30 a 7 p.m. Es un evento para todas las edades.
