North Side Construction - Detour Route

Ongoing construction on Euclid Avenue may limit the ability to access the North Side Library parking lot from the north. If you're visiting the North Side Library, you may reach the parking lot from the south by traveling on Ovid Ave. and then turning north onto 5th Ave. Please see the North Side Library page for a diagram.

Celebrate Pride Month by making your own mini parade float!

Starting Saturday, June 1, stop by any DMPL location to pick up a materials kit (while supplies last), then design your own float however you choose. Once you finish your float, snap a picture of it and email it to LIB-Marketing@dmpl.org by 5 PM on Friday, June 14, to have your name entered into a drawing for a prize bag and your float featured on our social media photo parade!

To enter the drawing and have your float included in the photo parade, please include in your email the following information:

  • Your full name
  • Age
  • Email
  • Phone Number
  • At least 1 photo of your mini Pride float

Please note that by entering the drawing, you give the Des Moines Public Library permission to share your Pride float photo online.

 

Key Dates:

June 1 – June 14: Pick up a kit and design your float!

June 14, 5 PM: Deadline for submitting a picture of your float to LIB-Marketing@dmpl.org if you'd like to be entered in the drawing and have your float featured in the photo parade

June 21: Prize winners drawn!
