Event Details
Ending the silence for families is an interactive presentation that helps families to learn about the warning signs of mental health conditions as well as what steps they should take to find and provide support for their child or loved one. This presentation includes a young adult living with mental illness who shares their journey of recovery and a second presenter that will deliver the presentation. Attendees of the presentation will have the opportunity to ask questions and gain understanding of an often-misunderstood topic. Through dialogue, we can help grow the movement to end stigma.
We'll have quiet activities available for children in the room during this presentation, and you're welcome to bring children. However, we won't have staff offering childcare; you'll still be responsible for them.
If you're interested in an Ending The Silence program focused primarily on adult mental health, check out other DMPL libraries in early August!
