Iowa Legal Aid's Expungement and Barriers Clinic aims to combat barriers to self-sufficiency, prosperity, and racial injustice caused by criminal legal involvement.
If you face obstacles because of a criminal record, the clinic may help with the following issues:
- criminal record expungement
- court debt
- license & registration
- background checks
There is no cost to attend this event but you must complete the registration process by Tuesday, December 12th.

Unfortunately, Iowa Legal Aid cannot accept walk-ins who have not registered in advance.
Registration is on a first come, first served basis.
This event, organized by Iowa Legal Aid, is being held in collaboration with host and community partner Des Moines Public Library and community partner Wells Fargo.

Free library parking is available in Central's underground parking garage for two hours per visit. Parking around the library is metered at various costs from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
