Adventure Pass Ending in 2025

Due to circumstances outside of our control, the Des Moines Public Library’s Iowa Adventure Pass service will no longer be available in 2025. Any reservation already made for 2025 will be honored, but we encourage anyone with a current reservation to print those passes immediately. Customers can make new reservations for passes that must be used by December 31, 2024. We hope to reintroduce the service at a later time, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

April 30th is Día del Niño, a celebration of the joy of childhood and reading across all borders, ethnicities, and languages. Stop at any branch of the Des Moines Public Library to pick up a Día Edition Library Learning Bag to make your own piñata and celebrate! Don’t forget to share your Día piñata with us on social media using #DMPLdía!

El 30 de abril es el Dia del Niño, un día en el cual celebramos la alegría de la niñez y la lectura que cruza fronteras, identidades étnicas, e idiomas por medio de historias multiculturales, música y juegos. ¡Celebra con nosotros y visita cualquier ubicación de DMPL para recoger una Bibliobolsa edición Día para hacer su propia piñata! ¡No olvides compartir tu piñata de Día en las redes sociales usando #DMPLdía!
