All Locations Closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

All DMPL locations will be closed on Monday, January 20, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The Forest Avenue Library's annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration will take place at 4 PM at the Forest Avenue Library. Doors open at 3:30 PM for the program.

Warming Center Information: The Central Library meeting room wing will be open on Monday, January 20, from 9 AM-5 PM for use as a warming center. The library itself will remain closed.

Due to forecasted extreme weather, in-person class at Franklin Avenue Library is cancelled. 

Join Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) educators for a 10-week citizenship class! This class will prepare students for their citizenship interview by teaching reading, writing, and civics. The class has a $20.00 fee and partners with Iowa Migrant Movement for Justice (IMMJ) to provide free legal services for citizenship.
