Adventure Pass Ending in 2025

Due to circumstances outside of our control, the Des Moines Public Library’s Iowa Adventure Pass service will no longer be available in 2025. Any reservation already made for 2025 will be honored, but we encourage anyone with a current reservation to print those passes immediately. Customers can make new reservations for passes that must be used by December 31, 2024. We hope to reintroduce the service at a later time, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Event Details

Global Greens is an urban agriculture program that reconnects New Americans with the land by offering a spectrum of gardening and farming opportunities. Global Greens connects more than 150 families each year to community gardening plots and manages an 8.5 acre incubator farm in West Des Moines where 20 families are starting small farming businesses. Global Greens continues to support program graduates who have moved their businesses off of the incubator farm. Since 2015, Global Greens farmers have earned more than $750,000 in sales revenue. Tika Bhandari will share her farming story with us and the value Global Greens has had in her life.
