Adventure Pass Changes in 2025

Due to software issues affecting all libraries using the service, the Des Moines Public Library’s Iowa Adventure Pass program will no longer be available in 2025. Any reservation already made for 2025 will be honored, but we encourage anyone with a current reservation to print those passes immediately. Customers can make new reservations for passes that must be used by December 31, 2024. We hope to reintroduce the service at a later time, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Event Details

Tết, Lunar New Year, is the most important yearly celebration in Viet culture. It celebrates the beginning of the lunar year and the coming of spring. Lunar New Year 2022 – Year of the Tiger - officially begins on February 1st. Forest Avenue Library and Viet Advocacy invite you to celebrate Tết with us. Stop by Forest Avenue Library starting Saturday, January 29th and pick up a 2022 Lunar New Year – Year of the Tiger party bag. Each bag includes a dragon dance craft, “Gourd Crab Shrimp Fish” game, and a lucky red envelope.  As supplies last!

Tết Nguyên đán là dịp lễ quan trọng nhất hàng năm trong văn hóa Việt Nam. Tết Nguyên đán 2022 - năm Nhâm Dần - chính thức bắt đầu từ ngày 1 tháng 2. Thư viện Forest Avenue và Việt Advocacy xin mời các quý vị cùng đón Tết với chúng tôi. Xin ghé qua thư viện Forest Avenue mượn sách về đọc và nhận một món quà nho nhỏ cho các em trẻ. Món quà gồm có thủ công đồ múa rồng , trò chơi “Bầu Cua Tôm Cá” và một phong bao lì xì.
