Join professor Andy Langager for a series on different aspects of the history of photography. The first session will cover some of the most interesting personalities and events relating to photojournalism and documenting the world around us.
From Mathew Brady’s Civil War photography, Edward Curtis’s work capturing Indigenous Americans, LIFE magazine photographers Margaret Bourke-White and Alfred Eisenstadt, Weegee’s NYC gritty New York City photos, and much more.
Andy Langager received his B.S. and M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from Iowa State University. He is a journalism professor at the Ankeny DMACC campus, where advises the student newspaper and has taught History of Photography since 2012.
