Adventure Pass Ending in 2025

Due to circumstances outside of our control, the Des Moines Public Library’s Iowa Adventure Pass service will no longer be available in 2025. Any reservation already made for 2025 will be honored, but we encourage anyone with a current reservation to print those passes immediately. Customers can make new reservations for passes that must be used by December 31, 2024. We hope to reintroduce the service at a later time, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

¡Ven a ver In the Heights como parte de la serie de películas latines de DMPL durante el Mes de la Herencia Hispana! La película será presentada en español con subtítulos en inglés. 

Sumario: En la película basada en el musical de Broadway, Usnavi ahorra cada centavo que gana trabajando en su bodega en Nueva York mientas que canta e imagina una vida mejor. (PG-13)

Palomitas serán proporcionadas o puedes traer tus propias botanas y bebidas con tapas.

No necesita apartar lugar. Se requiere seguir las sugerencias del CDC para prevenir el contagio de COVID-19. Estacionamiento gratuito subterráneo, accesible por la entrada en la calle Grand Avenue (entre 10th Street y 11th Street). 

 

Come watch In the Heights as part of DMPL's Latinx Heritage movie series during Hispanic Heritage month! Movie will be screened in Spanish with English subtitles.

Summary: A film version of the Broadway musical in which Usnavi, a sympathetic New York bodega owner, saves every penny every day as he imagines and sings about a better life. (PG-13)

Popcorn will be provided or you may bring your own snack and covered beverage.

Central Parking

Free library parking is available in Central's underground parking garage for two hours per visit. Parking around the library is metered at various costs from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday.

Hand sanitizer will be provided and staff will do their best to ensure any shared materials are disinfected between use.
