Event Details

In our first session, we'll learn sewing basics: hand sewing, and machine basics. Our presenter will have 2 machines, but all attendees should feel welcome to bring your own machine too.  We will make small heart pillows/rice bags/cat toys. Sewing steps will be the same for all, but you have your choice of fillings! Please bring your own supplies/sewing kit if you have one.

Kaitlyn is a costumer and sewing hobbyist with more than 25 years of experience. Recently she has volunteered with Common Love for clothing alterations, and crafted costumes for Des Moines Young Artists Theater.  A member of the Central Iowa Chapter of the American Sewing Guild, she is excited to share her love of sewing with anyone willing to sit through her chaotic delivery.
