Program Description
Event Details
In this class, we will learn about modifying and resizing clothing (basic!). Bring an item of clothing to practice on: cotton/denim preferred. Please do not bring a family heirloom or complicated formal dress or anything with delicate fabric (lace, silk, etc). (Presenter will also have fabric available to practice on.)
Kaitlyn is a costumer and sewing hobbyist with more than 25 years of experience. Recently she has volunteered with Common Love for clothing alterations, and crafted costumes for Des Moines Young Artists Theater. A member of the Central Iowa Chapter of the American Sewing Guild, she is excited to share her love of sewing with anyone willing to sit through her chaotic delivery.
