Sewing Basics-Closures: Zippers, Buttons, Snaps

Event Details

For this month, we will be repurposing fabric. Instructor will have fabric, snaps, zippers, and buttons available, and attendees can also bring an adult or child-sized pair of pants (denim, khaki, corduroy) to repurpose into a bag if they choose. Both options will receive the same instruction. 

Kaitlyn is a costumer and sewing hobbyist with more than 25 years of experience. Recently she has volunteered with Common Love for clothing alterations, and crafted costumes for Des Moines Young Artists Theater.  A member of the Central Iowa Chapter of the American Sewing Guild, she is excited to share her love of sewing with anyone willing to sit through her chaotic delivery.
