Library Giving Day

LGiving Day

If you love your library, please choose to donate.

The Des Moines Public Library Foundation is joining National Library Giving Day, April 3, 2024. Please consider giving a gift to the Foundation.

You can make your donation anytime from March 25 through April 5. Your public library has been one of the most dependable aspects of a lifestyle turned upside down during the past two years.

We cannot do it without your help. When you choose to donate, we will all come together as champions of our local library! Gifts of all sizes are welcome and help to make a positive impact.

People of all ages, backgrounds and needs connect with one another, learn new things, discover new interests, get started on the path to new careers and more by using library resources.

These services and resources require the support of caring individuals like you. Tax dollars alone cannot support all that our community needs. That’s why we’re inviting you to join us in celebration of your public library.

Your gift supports:

  • Summer Reading & School Readiness
  • AViD (Authors Visiting in Des Moines)
  • Free adult, teen, and children programming
  • Central Library Tech Central Innovation & Maker Lab
  • STEM Kits
  • Materials for the new Rotary Rosie Reader van
  • Library of Things
  • Book Chat service
  • Technology fund for public access computers for all ages
  • Additions to the collection - both print and e-versions

We cannot do it without your help. When you choose to donate, we will all come together as champions of our local library! Gifts of all sizes are welcome and help to make a positive impact.
