Preserving old media has never been easier with our Media Conversion Station. Convert old home videos to digital files to keep them for posterity or share them with friends and family.

Station Information
You will either need to save your work to a flash drive or have an email address ready to send it to. We recommend a flash drive or external hard drive since media files are often too large to send via email.
High-capacity flash drives (64GB) may be purchased from the Information Desk for $10.00.
CDs and DVDs may be purchased from the Information Desk for $0.50.
Rules and Guidelines
- You must be a Des Moines Public Library cardholder
- For ages 14 and up
- Users under the age of 14 must be accompanied by parent/guardian
- Reservations may be submitted two weeks in advance
- Reservations start at two hours per day, with extensions subject to availability
- Walk-in appointments are subject to availability
- Covered drinks are welcome; food is not permitted
