Central Library Spaces
The Central Library Meeting Room Wing has three rooms which can be combined into a large space which can hold an audience of up to 300 people. Organizations can rent one, two, or all three rooms. Rooms can be rented before or after library hours for additional hourly rates.
Within the library there are two public conference rooms, which can be rented during library hours. Both conference rooms can accommodate up to ten people.
Branch Library Spaces
Each of our five branch locations has a large meeting room that can be used by businesses, nonprofit organizations, or individuals. Depending on the location, rooms can accommodate groups from 50 to 120 people. Many have digital projection units and dry erase boards for use and food may be brought in. Rooms may not be used for private personal events.
Two of our branch locations also have small conference rooms for groups of up to ten people. Each room has a table, chairs, and dry erase board.

Des Moines Public Library Meeting Room User Information
All locations have study rooms available for public use.
Room capacities range from two to ten people and may be used up to two hours per day per group.
All study rooms may be reserved up to two weeks in advance.
