Monday, June 23 | 7 PM | Central Library
Nikki Erlick’s debut novel, The Measure, was a massive bestseller that catapulted her to literary stardom. The book was a TODAY Show Read with Jenna Book Club pick, a Barnes & Noble Discover Pick, and an Amazon Best Book of 2022. Prior to becoming a best-selling novelist, Erlick’s writing appeared in New York Magazine, Newsweek, Literary Hub, and many other publications.
Her follow-up novel, The Poppy Fields (release date: June 17), pays some homage to The Wizard of Oz. The book follows four people seeking a treatment center that has provided cures for grief and loss. But as the story progresses, the question arises - how far are we truly willing to go in order to be healed?
Erlick has also worked as a writer and editor. Her work has appeared online with New York Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Newsweek, Cosmopolitan, Indagare Travel, The Huffington Post, and Vox. She has a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a master’s degree from Columbia University.
