All locations of the Des Moines Public Library will be closed on Tuesday, December 24, and Wednesday, December 25, in observance of the Christmas holiday.

AARP will be at the East Side Library every *Wednesday and *Saturday from February 1st through April 12th to assist the public with their taxes. 

On Saturday, 02/15, no appointments are available. On Wednesday, 3/19, appointments are limited to 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. All other appointments are between 10:00-3:30.

Appointments can be made with AARP by calling 515-635-1471. Walk-ins will be accommodated as staffing allows. The library is unable to schedule appointments.
