Library opening delayed

All locations of the Des Moines Public Library will open at Noon Saturday, December 14 due to weather. All locations will serve as emergency warming shelters during open hours.

Program Description

Event Details

Author and artist Paula Kerman will visit the library to talk about her new book “Hooligans, Rebels, and Rabble-Rousers," which contains stories of twenty incredible women who made a mark on history.  Paula will share how she created her amazing mixed media illustrations, and everyone will get to make their own portrait to take home.

Art in the Library is for children ages 6-12 and requires preregistration.  

 

The Franklin Library is located on DART Route #5.
