All locations of the Des Moines Public Library will be closed on Tuesday, December 24, and Wednesday, December 25, in observance of the Christmas holiday.

We are no longer accepting teen volunteer applications for the 2024-2025 school year.

Summer Volunteering: Teens ages 12-18 can pick up a volunteer application starting Tuesday, April 1 at the Franklin Avenue Library youth desk. Applications must be turned in by Thursday, May 1 for consideration.

Applications for the 2025-2026 school year will be available in August.
