What's the "spark" that shaped the lives of our local leaders? Hear from a different speaker each month as they share their "Spark Story," the specific experience that sparked them to create change in the community. In addition, we’ll hear details about the work they are doing and what keeps them motivated to stay involved.
Siobhan Spain is the Director of Mainframe Studios which is slated to be the largest nonprofit art studio building in the nation. Mainframe Studios is ensuring artists are never priced out of Des Moines, Iowa.
Siobhan has over 20 years’ experience in arts administration, including managing SITE Santa Fe, the studio office of MacArthur Fellow Tom Joyce and Mary Goldman Gallery. She has served in committee and board roles for Center for Contemporary Arts Santa Fe, Santa Monica Museum of Art, Des Moines Art Center, Des Moines Public Art Foundation, Los Angeles Times’ foundation and Women, Food & Agriculture Network.
